BOOK REVIEW – Bridgman’s Complete Guide To Drawing From Life

Hey Guys!

I thought of posting some Art books on here for you to go check on

These books that I’m suggesting are in my own opinion a must have for all artist who are looking seriously to get a job into the Comic Book industry as a penciler.

Or if you are just a nut like I am on how things work in harmony like the human anatomy, these books will seriously give you an extra edge. It worked for me but in the end of course, it all comes down to you guys to sit down at the drawing table with some cool soundtrack music and burn some lead until your fingers bleed!!!

Ok here goes! Number one on top of my list is “George B. Bridgman’s Complete Guide To Drawing From Life”. For the price that it is right now, honestly this is a gold mine of very useful information. GET YOUR HANDS ON IT!!!!PRONTO!!

Last night I took the time to check out on amazon all of Bridgeman’s individual books on specific subjects which are the following: “Bridgman’s Life Drawing”, “The human Machine”, “The book of a Hundred Hands”, “Heads, Features and Faces”, “Constructive Anatomy”, “Drawing The Draped Figure”, “Drawing The Female Form”.

Now If you get the first book that I mentioned (Bridgman’s complete guide to drawing from life), you will find the same overall information that you will find in these individual books BUT!!!! Since I’m a knowledge freak, I would still get my hands on those individual books since they seem more in depth studies. Each book focuses on a certain subject. I noticed some drawings in those books that were not in the edition of (Bridgman’s complete guide to drawing from life) so if you really want to put the time into studying each subject, get your hands on the individual books…for 5.00 $ a book …Honestly guys do yourself a favor…INVEST IN THEM and keep them under lock and key!!!

Amazon is selling a Boxed Set (Boxed Sets/Bindups) paperback entitled “The Best of Bridgman: Boxed Set” 3 Books in that set: Bridgman’s Life Drawing-The Book of a Hundred Hands-Heads, Features and Faces Price: 11.53$

Hope this book review was helpful to some of you guys and gals.
